RCS is an international standard that sets requirements certification of Recycled. The goal of the RCS is to increase the use of Recycled materials and uses the chain of custody requirements of the Content Claim Standard (CCS).
The RCS is intended for products that contains Recycled Material. Each stage of production is required to be certified, beginning at the recycling stage and the ending transaction. It follows the chain of custody requirements of the Content Claim Standard (CSS), in which the Materials are verified to meet the ISO definition of recycled, and ensures the identity of the recycled material is maintained. The RCS are managed with the input of recyclers, suppliers, and brands and retailers from all parts of the globe.
